The New York Jets turned to Bryce Petty at quarterback Monday.
The Jets announced Petty came in for the team’s first possession of the second half of New York’s Week 13 game against the Indianapolis Colts in place of the struggling Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was 5-of-12 for 81 yards with an interception.
The Jets were trailing 31-3 when Petty entered the game.
Petty started the Jets’ Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, but he underwhelmed in the 9-6 home loss. During the first start of his career, the second-year pro completed 19 of 32 passes for 163 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
