NFL Allows Delanie Walker, Jason McCourty to Wear Charity Cleats for Week 14
- Updated: December 5, 2016
Tennessee Titans players Delanie Walker and Jason McCourty will be able to wear individualized cleats Sunday against the Denver Broncos after receiving permission from the NFL.
“We have spoken to both the Titans and Browns,” an NFL spokesperson told Paul Kuharskhy of ESPN. “Players from the two teams on a bye last week can participate in My Cause/My Cleats in Week 14.”
Earlier in the day, Walker and McCourty told Kuharsky they were going to wear their cleats if they did not receive permission from the league.
In Week 13, the NFL allowed players to wear personalized cleats as part of the “My Cause My Cleats” campaign, with players promoting charities or causes of their choice.
