Trumbo reportedly seeks deal in $80M range

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — The Orioles have made it pretty clear that they’d like to re-sign free-agent outfielder Mark Trumbo, with executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette confirming Sunday night that Baltimore had indeed been in serious talks in offering the slugger a deal.
According to a MASNSports.com report Monday, the proposed offer to Trumbo is for four years. While Trumbo’s camp is reportedly looking for a deal in the $80 million range, the O’s could backload the deal to give them flexibility, as they’ve done for other bigger contracts in the past.
