Preston refund travelling fans

Preston will fine Jermaine Beckford and Eoin Doyle and use the money to reimburse the cost of fans’ tickets for 2-1 Saturday’s defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.
The players were sent off in the closing stages of the game at Hillsborough for fighting each other and, as well as any punishment the FA may impose on them, North End have acted to compensate supporters.
“After Saturday’s incident at Sheffield Wednesday, Preston North End have held an internal inquiry and can confirm that they will not be appealing the red cards issued to Jermaine Beckford and Eoin Doyle,” read the club’s statement.
