Al Arabi receive top seed in Emir Cup

Doha, Qatar, April 19, 2016 – Qatar Volleyball Association conducted the drawing of lots for the Emir Cup, headed by secretary-general Mohammed Ali al Mohannadi, assistant secretary-general Yousef Kano and technical director Hussein Imam Ali at the national federation headquarters on Tuesday.
The national federation also made an announcement that they shifted both the important Qatar Cup and Emir Cup to a much bigger venue, the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena in Al Sadd.
“The decision has been taken by the association in a bid to accommodate more fans for the big occasions like the finals of these two majors,” technical director Ali said. “On the final two days of the Emir Cup, the volleyball championship semifinals and final have been planned. So we expect a huge number of spectators to come and support their teams. At the new venue, we’d be able to host many number of fans.”
The Qatar Cup, which features the top four teams in the national league is slated on April 22 until the final on April 28, after Al Arabi take on El Jaish, and Al Rayyan …
