Gausman progressing in Minors rehab outings

BALTIMORE — Kevin Gausman will make at least one more rehab start, with the right-hander (shoulder tendinitis) scheduled to go around 90 pitches for Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.
Brian Matusz (left intercostal strain) also continued his rehab with an appearance on Tuesday night for Class A Advanced Frederick while Jimmy Paredes (left wrist sprain) has been playing in extended spring training and could start a rehab assignment on Monday.
Gausman, despite saying he felt Major League-ready, will try to go around five or six innings in Charlotte. He only lasted 3 1/3 innings in his last rehab start for Frederick, and manager Buck Showalter said the club is hoping he can get a longer outing under his belt before returning to the rotation.
