Alvarez setting out on rehab assignment for A’s

NEW YORK — A’s right-hander Henderson Alvarez will begin his Minor League rehab assignment on Wednesday with Class A Advanced Stockton.
Alvarez is scheduled for three innings, or 45 pitches — whichever comes first — in his first game action since May 22, 2015.
