From Hilton Head to San Antonio we go this week for the Valero Texas Open. Texas winds wreaked havoc on the field last year. The first-round scoring average (76.695) was the highest outside of a major since 1999 as players contended with gusts nearing 40 mph. The scoring average for the week was 2.521 strokes over par: the highest outside of the majors.
