Pardew grateful to Parish

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew expressed his gratitude to chairman Steve Parish after the Eagles ended a shocking run with a 3-0 defeat of Southampton.
Pardew has been under pressure this week after last Saturday’s 5-4 loss at Swansea made it six defeats in a row, but Parish has stood by his manager and got his rewards on Saturday as a Christian Benteke double and an improved defensive display secured a very welcome three points.
Pardew and Parish gestured appreciatively to each other after one of the goals and Pardew says his chairman’s football know-how is important to the club.
