Petersen granted extension to present fixing charges

Alviro Petersen has until December 9 to respond to charges relating to match-fixing during the South African domestic T20 competition in 2015.

Petersen was charged by Cricket South Africa on November 12 and was initially given 14 days to respond. But his lawyer, Robin Twaddle, confirmed to ESPNcricinfo that an extension has been granted..

While Twaddle hasn’t given any indication of what Petersen’s response will be, a statement from the opening batsman after the charges were made public indicated that he will fight them.
