DesmondWilliams 25-year old guard Desmond Williams (199-G-91) had a great game in the last round for Salon Vilpas and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14.He had the game-high 20 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Salon Vilpas in his team’s victory, helping them to beat BC Nokia (#4, 6-7) 90-83. The game was between two of the league’s top four teams. Salon Vilpas maintains the 3rd position in Finnish league. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Salon Vilpas will need more victories to improve their 9-4 record. In the team’s last game Williams had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Salon Vilpas’ top player in his first season with the team. Southern Connecticut State University graduate has very impressive stats this year.
