Hamels named Rangers’ pitcher of the year

ARLINGTON — Cole Hamels has been selected as the Rangers’ pitcher of the year by the local chapter of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.
He will be honored at the 2017 Dr Pepper Texas Rangers Awards Dinner, which takes place Jan. 20 at Gilley’s Dallas. Tickets for the dinner are on sale at texasrangers.com/awards.
