Marlins officially introduce veteran Volquez
- Updated: December 1, 2016

Miami and Volquez agreed to a two-year deal earlier this week worth $22 million.

“I made this decision because I live in Miami and I really like the team, and I’m really glad to be able to pitch in this ballpark,” said Volquez, who added he grew up a Marlins fan. “I want to thank everyone here, because they gave me a chance to be a part of this organization.”
Volquez, 33, brings a durable veteran presence to a rotation looking to add innings following the death of Jose Fernandez. The 12-year veteran has thrown at least 170 1/3 innings in each of his past five seasons.
