Jose Mourinho received a one-match touchline ban after being sent to the stands during Manchester United’s draw with West Ham on Sunday, the Football Association has announced.
Mourinho served the ban immediately and was not be on the touchline for United’s EFL Cup clash with West Ham at Old Trafford on Wednesday night – he was also fined £16,000.
The FA released a statement saying the United boss had admitted a charge of improper conduct after he was sent to the stands for the second time this season after showing his frustration at the decision to book Paul Pogba for a dive during the Premier League clash, which ended 1-1.
