Pirates invite relievers Runzler, Stoffel to camp

PITTSBURGH — The Pirates announced a pair of Minor League free-agent signings on Wednesday, bringing aboard left-hander Dan Runzler and right-hander Jason Stoffel and inviting both to Major League Spring Training camp.
Runzler, 31, pitched in 89 games for the Giants from 2009-12. The lefty reliever posted a 3.86 ERA in 72 1/3 innings, striking out 78 batters while walking 44 and allowing only two home runs.
