Cubs hurlers expected to be offered contracts

CHICAGO — Friday is the deadline for teams to tender contracts to their arbitration eligible players, and the Cubs have four pitchers who fall in that category and who are expected to be offered contracts.
Jake Arrieta, Pedro Strop, Hector Rondon and Justin Grimm all are arbitration eligible. The deadline to tender a contract is 10:59 p.m. CT on Friday.
