Manchester United and West Ham United will face each other for the second time in four days when they meet again at Old Trafford on Wednesday, this time in the EFL Cup.
The pair played out a 1-1 draw at the same venue on Sunday in the Premier League. Both United manager Jose Mourinho and Hammers boss Slaven Bilic will be hoping to ease the mounting pressure on their heads by progressing to the semi-finals.
The Red Devils are 11 points off the lead in the Premier League title race and eight points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, while the Irons are winless in four games and find themselves just one point above the drop zone.

Per the Evening Standard, Wayne Rooney, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial could all be in line to start the match, as could Michael Carrick after he returned to training on Monday having missed the draw a day prior.
The Red Devils will have to make do without Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini, however, as they are both suspended.
Meanwhile, Diafra Sakho is a doubt after exiting the field with a “potential calf problem” on Sunday, so he could be replaced by Simone Zaza as Andy Carroll remains injured. Gokhan Tore might also be in line to play if he is able to return from the thigh strain that kept him out of Sunday’s match.
