Angels sign LaMarre to bolster outfield depth

ANAHEIM — The Angels signed free-agent outfielder Ryan LaMarre to a one-year contract on Monday, adding to their depth at the position.
LaMarre, 28, is mainly known for his defense. He spent most of the 2016 season in the Red Sox system with Triple-A Pawtucket, where he hit .303/.360/.445 with 15 doubles, 10 home runs, 41 RBIs and 17 stolen bases in 86 games.
