Braves land former first-rounder Jackson

The Braves acquired outfielder Alex Jackson and a player to be named from the Mariners on Monday night. Atlanta sent right-handed pitchers Rob Whalen and Max Povse in exchange.
Jackson, 20, was a first round Draft pick (sixth overall) of the Mariners in 2014. He hit .243 with 20 doubles, 11 homers and 55 RBIs in 92 games with Class A Clinton this year. …
