Las Palmas move into top half

Las Palmas edged into La Liga’s top 10 as they secured another positive result at their island fortress, this time a 3-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao.
Kevin-Prince Boateng gave the Canary Islanders a 40th-minute lead and Momo added a second five minutes into the second period.
The dismissal of Athletic’s star forward Aritz Aduriz appeared to have killed off the visitors, but a Raul Garcia penalty with 11 minutes left gave the visitors hope.
But the result was put beyond doubt in the final seconds of normal time as Jonathan Viera scored a sublime breakaway third to extend Las Palmas’ unbeaten home record in LaLiga this season to seven matches.
