Lithuania – Galeckas’ 20 points and 8 assists give him NKL Player of the Week award

TomasGaleckas 22-year old point guard Tomas Galeckas (183-PG-94) had an amazing evening in the last round for league’s best team Rasai and receives a Eurobasket.com NKL Player of the Week award for round 16.He had the game-high 20 points adding six rebounds and eight assists for Rasai in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Silute (#6, 9-7) 101-86. It allowed Rasai to take over top position in the Lithuanian NKL. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Rasai has a very solid 12-4 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team’s last game Galeckas had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Rasai’s top player in his first season with the team. Galeckas has impressive league stats. He is league’s best passer with 7.6apg. Galeckas is in league’s top in and averages solid 53.6% FGP and 47.4% from behind 3-point line.Second best performed player last round was Karolis Sarukas (198-F-95) of Petrochema.
