Golden Shoe 2016-17: Top Goalscorers in Europe, Updated Points on November 28
- Updated: November 28, 2016
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang now sits alone as the leader in the European Golden Shoe rankings after he moved to 13 goals for the Bundesliga season with his strike in Borussia Dortmund’s 2-1 Saturday defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s double in Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Sporting Gijon moved him into the top 10, while Roma’s Edin Dzeko and Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero also netted braces in victories.
The leading pack has got a more familiar feel to it now as Europe’s top leagues are in full swing, but Yevgeni Kabayev of Estonian club Kalev is just behind leader Aubameyang.
Here is what the current top 10 looks like following the weekend’s action, along with a closer look at how some of the continent’s leading marksman added to their tallies.
Points for the Golden Shoe table are calculated by the amount of goals multiplied by a difficulty factor—determined by the strength of the league in which the goals are scored.
