Arsenal returned to winning ways after three consecutive draws in all competitions, as an Alexis Sanchez double saw them to a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Manchester United drew a fourth consecutive home Premier League game, as they managed only a 1-1 result against West Ham United at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Heurelho Gomes’ own goal earned Stoke City a 1-0 win against Watford at Vicarage Road, and Southampton beat Everton 1-0 thanks to Charlie Austin’s opening-minute strike.

Arsenal had to work hard for their victory against manager Eddie Howe’s Cherries. Sanchez put them 1-0 up in the 12th minute following Steve Cook’s calamitous backpass.
But following Callum Wilson’s equaliser from the penalty spot 11 minutes later after a foul by Nacho Monreal, Bournemouth then had several excellent chances to go ahead.
As it was, Theo Walcott restored the Gunners’ lead when he headed home Monreal’s cross soon after the break, and Sanchez got his second in stoppage time following an excellent break …
