Robert Whittaker Expected Derek Brunson to ‘Come Out Hard’ in UFC Fight Night Bout

While Derek Brunson might have appeared overzealous to an outside observer, Robert Whittaker was prepared for his opponent’s aggression in the UFC Fight Night 101 headliner in Melbourne on Saturday night.“He came out hard and fast. All through the training camp I knew he would come out hard, that’s what he does,” Whittaker said on Fox Sports 1. “But I could not have anticipated him coming out that hard. I knew if I weathered the storm he was going to get tired [at some point]. And that’s exactly what I did.
