ThomasSpagnolo American Forward Thomas Spagnolo (201-F-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for Rustavi, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.The 25-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Cactus Tbilisi (#5, 3-3) 103-95. Rustavi maintains the 3rd position in Georgian Superleague. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Rustavi will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. In the team’s last game Spagnolo had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Rustavi’s top player in his first season with the team. Former Appalachian State University star has very solid stats this year. Spagnolo is in league’s top in points (5th best: 16.9ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 10.6rpg) and averages impressive 54.9% FGP and 64.3% from behind 3-point line.The second best player in last round’s games was 25-year old American Phillip Miller (185-PG-91) of Sokhumi.
