‘I doubted I’d play in PL again’

Paul Robinson admitted he did not think he would play in the Premier League again after making an impressive return to action in Burnley’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.
The 37-year-old goalkeeper last played competitively for Blackburn Rovers over two years ago and this was his first Premier League appearance since 2012.
But the former England international showed no signs of rustiness after being thrown into the Clarets’ starting line-up to replace the injured Tom Heaton.
