Jaylon Smith Injury: Updates on Cowboys LB’s Knee and Recovery

Dallas Cowboys rookie linebacker Jaylon Smith, who’s recovering from a knee injury that included nerve damage, has not played for the team since Dallas selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft.

Smith Will Not Return to Action in 2016 Season Thursday, Nov. 24
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Smith won’t practice or play this season despite being activated off the non-football injury list. A source revealed to Rapoport that “Smith is still waiting for his nerve to fire” in his knee, adding that there’s no certainty about when that will happen.
