Kevin Nash Talks WWE Not Going With Him As Champ, How Vince McMahon Told Him He Was Losing The Belt

Sports Illustrated interviewed former WWE Champion Kevin Nash for their “Week in Wrestling” feature. During the interview, Nash went in-depth about WWE not fully going with him as WWE Champion and noted they told him he would hold the belt for three years (his reign lasted 358 days). Being “castrated” as champion:
“They built the Diesel character in Providence at the [1994] Royal Rumble when I lasted over 17 minutes and eliminated a few guys in a row, and then they basically castrated it as champ when they put a Santa hat on my head and had me sing I Wish You a Merry Christmas to the Titan Tower and WWE employees.
