Warburton backs Rangers B team

Mark Warburton has backed the idea of a Rangers B or ‘colts’ team and wants to help young players bridge the “enormous” gulf to first-team level.
Scotland’s Development League system is under review, with a Scottish Football Association working group proposing a more mixed second-team set-up where U20s players have to play alongside more experienced players.
Warburton is keen to see a setup which would challenge young players more and has backed the idea of entering a Rangers colts team into the Scottish Professional Football League to play more meaningful matches in the lower divisions.
