Turkey – Ricky Ledo gets MVP of the Week award for Turkish BSL

Ricky Ledo American Ricky Ledo (201-SF-92) put on an amazing game in the last round for Yesilgiresun and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.The 24-year old had the game-high 42 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Yesilgiresun in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Istanbul BBSK (#14, 2-5) 82-67. Yesilgiresun maintains the 7th position in Turkish BSL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Yesilgiresun will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. In the team’s last game Ledo had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got seven three-pointers out of 13 attempts. He turned to be Yesilgiresun’s top player in his first season with the team. Providence College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ledo is in league’s top in points (3rd best: 19.4ppg).The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 23-year old Polish swingman Mateusz Ponitka (196-G/F-93) of Pinar Karsiyaka.
