L1: Blades deny Bolton second
- Updated: November 22, 2016
Sheffield United scored a 90th-minute winner against Bury to stay second in Sky Bet League One, as managerless Charlton thrashed Bristol Rovers.
Kevin Nugent was put in caretaker charge of the Addicks following the sacking of Russell Slade on November 13, which was the seventh managerial departure from The Valley since March 2014.
However, Charlton, who had beaten Port Vale at home on Saturday, romped to a 5-1 win at Bristol Rovers to climb into the top half of the table, going ahead after 26 minutes through Ademola Lookman, with Josh Magennis doubling the lead just before half-time.
The points were wrapped up five minutes into the second half when Patrick Bauer headed in a third. Adam Chicksen made it 4-0 with 13 minutes left, and Nick Ajose slotted in number five after 85 minutes.
Matty Taylor scored a consolation for the hosts from the penalty spot in stoppage time.
