Leicester City also suffered in their youth contest, falling to a 3-2 loss at home to Club Brugge in Group G.

Real Madrid recorded a composed 3-1 win on the road, beating Sporting Lisbon in Portugal as they continue to dominate Group F.

Juventus put Sevilla to the sword as they conquered their opponents 2-0 in Spain.

Kazaiah Sterling’s 53rd-minute goal appeared to have set Spurs on their way to victory against Monaco, but two goals in five minutes broke north London hearts in the south of France.
