Taylor: Great things ahead

Multiple amateur champion Katie Taylor believes her professional debut will mark the start of “something really exciting”.
Taylor, a five-time world amateur champion and London 2012 gold medallist, will fight in the pro ranks for the first time on Saturday when she takes on the experienced Karina Kopinska at The SSE Arena in Wembley, live on Sky Sports 2 HD.
Much is expected of the 30-year-old Irishwoman, but Taylor cut a relaxed figure at her pre-fight media conference in Dublin and insisted she couldn’t wait to get into the ring.
