Min in line for chasing debut

The much vaunted Min could make his debut over fences this weekend after featuring among the entries for Sunday’s Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Beginners Chase at Navan.

The Willie Mullins-trained five-year-old had been the subject of plenty of positive reports even before his debut for Willie Mullins last winter and two impressive displays at Punchestown saw him sent of a hot favourite for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham, where he found Nicky Henderson’s Altior too strong.

Altior made a flying start to his career over fences at Kempton on Monday to confirm his place as ante-post favourite for the Arkle Trophy, with Min a best-priced 7-1 for the potential rematch at Prestbury Park next March.
