Sunday Briefing: ‘DrMiKee’ Wins Both partypoker High Rollers

Partypoker runs two high roller tournaments every Sunday at 7:00 p.m. GMT, one with a $530 buy-in and the other commanding a $2,600 entry. This weekend saw the combined guarantees reach $250,000 and it was the same player, “DrMiKee,” who won both star-studded events.
DrMiKee topped a field of 49 in the $2,600 buy in tournament for a $42,875 score and followed that impressive result by outlasting 315 opponents in the $530 buy in High Roller for an additional $32,390.
Another popular Sunday tournament at partypoker is the $50,000 Gtd Weigh-In, which this weekend was won by “GreatLacastro” for $10,863.03. “Das-Sackgesicht” turned $109 into $24,150.15 by emerging victorious in The Main Event.
The second largest partypoker score on Sunday went to “GeroldK” who triumphed in the $250,000 Gtd Title Fight. GeroldK came out on top of 1,232 entries in the $215 buy in affair to collect the $41,980.75 first-place prize.
As is usually the case, the tournaments at PokerStars saw the biggest prizes awarded.
This week’s $215 Sunday Million attracted 5,285 entries who were all outlasted by the United Kingdom’s “DrAnibus.” The tournament ended in a three-way chop with the champion banking $130,172.16. Fellow British player “Beckinnz” walked away with $96,801.30 …
