Latvia – Best players of Latvian LBL round 11

JurijsAleksejevs Experienced Former international Center Jurijs Aleksejevs (202-C-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for Jekabpils and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.The 31-year old center had a double-double of 25 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team lost the game against Barons Riga (#6, 5-6) 76-81. Jekabpils is placed at 4th position in Latvian LBL. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Jekabpils will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 5-4 record. In the team’s last game Aleksejevs had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Jekabpils’ top player in his first season with the team. Aleksejevs has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in points (6th best: 14.6ppg), rebounds (6th best: 6.6rpg) and averages solid 56.1% FGP and 47.8% from behind 3-point line.The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was another Jekabpils’ star – 23-year old Roberts Stumbris (199-SF-93).
