Bass sidelined by fracture

Jockey David Bass is to spend “a few weeks” on the sidelines after fracturing his cheekbone in a fall at Ascot on Saturday.
Bass was riding Dueling Banjos for his boss Kim Bailey in a three-mile novice handicap chase when he crashed out at the first fence.
