Ericsson remains with Sauber for 2017

Marcus Ericsson will spend a third season at Sauber after being confirmed as one of the team’s 2017 drivers.
This season has been a trying one for Sauber and its Swedish driver as he has yet to score a single World Championship point.
The team’s finances, or lack thereof, at the start of this season resulted in Sauber being sold to Longbow Finance.
With an “exciting” future ahead, the Swiss team has confirmed that Ericsson will stay on for a third season with his team-mate to be named in due course.
“It is great news that I will be racing for another year for the Sauber F1 Team,” he said. “I have spent two years with Sauber now, and I really feel at home.
