Eagles vs. Seahawks: Score and Twitter Reaction from 2016 Regular Season

The Seattle Seahawks aren’t firing at 100 percent. But if the first half of this season has proven anything, it’s that Seattle’s 80 percent is better than most teams’ 100.

Russell Wilson threw for 272 yards, and the Seahawks defense picked Carson Wentz off twice, as Seattle earned a 26-15 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

The Seahawks have won three straight and remain undefeated through their first five home games. At 7-2-1, they have an inside track at a first-round bye during the NFC playoffs; every other division leader save the 9-1 Dallas Cowboys has at least four losses.

Seattle held Philadelphia to 308 yards, with Wentz accounting for 218 through the air. The rookie passer looked lost at times against the Seahawks’ vaunted secondary, handing Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman interceptions. Chancellor had not made an interception in nearly a full calendar year (Nov. 29, 2015) before Sunday.

Wentz finished completing only 23 of his 45 passes. After throwing seven touchdowns in his first four NFL games, Wentz has four in his last six. He had not thrown a touchdown in either of the Eagles’ previous two contests.
