Igor Starodub contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Yusuf Sanon (190-99) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for Dnipro-2. Dnipro-2’s coach Oleksandr Muntian tested ten players, but that didn’t help to avoid defeat in this game. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. SumDU maintains seventh place with 1-5 record. Newly promoted Dnipro-2 dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Niko-Basket. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Yuzhny. Third ranked Ternopil-TNEU faced their biggest opponent Khimik-2. Guests from Ternopil (5-2) defeated host Khimik-2 (5-2) 70-66. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Khimik-2. It was a great evening for Evgen Odazhny who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side Artem Kovalov responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ternopil-TNEU moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Khimik-2. Ternopil-TNEU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Khimik-2 will play again against the league’s second-placed Ternopil-TNEU and it may be a tough game between close rivals. The game in Kremenchuk supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Zolotoi Vek (3-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Kremen-2 (1-4). Zolotoi Vek smashed Kremen-2 103-58. It was an exceptional evening for Andriy Kulish who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. Zolotoi Vek’s coach Andrey Bilozerskiy felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zolotoi Vek have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Kremen-2 lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Zolotoi Vek will have a break next round. Kremen-2 will play again at home against Zolotoi Vek (#3) and hope to win that game. The game in Sumy supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Dnipro-2 (3-5) played at the court of 7th ranked SumDU (1-5). Dnipro-2 smashed SumDU 82-58 on Saturday. Yusuf Sanon fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 steals for the winners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dnipro-2 moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Niko-Basket. Loser SumDU keeps the seventh position with five games lost.
