Gutknecht undergoes surgery

Eduard Gutknecht has undergone surgery after he was taken ill following his defeat to George Groves at Wembley Arena on Friday night.
The German collapsed in his dressing room following the 12-round WBA International super-middleweight battle and was carried to an ambulance by a stretcher.
Gutknecht reportedly required resuscitating after he briefly stopped breathing before arriving at the neurological unit at St Mary’s Hospital in west London.
The British Boxing Board of Control said on Saturday lunchtime that Gutknecht is being kept sedated following surgery and his condition will continue to be monitored in the coming …
