Wright ends Taylor’s Slam hopes

Peter Wright ended Phil Taylor’s hopes at the Grand Slam of Darts with a brilliant display of finishing to seal a 16-10 quarter-final win.
‘Snakebite’ surged into a 5-0 lead at the interval and while ‘The Power’ fought back to close to within one leg on a couple of occasions, it was Wright’s finishing that proved crucial as he booked a semi-final meeting with Michael van Gerwen.
