Andy Murray defeated Stanislas Wawrinka 6-4, 6-2 to book his place in the last four of the 2016 ATP World Tour Finals as champion of the John McEnroe Group on Friday afternoon.

The result saw the world No. 1’s raging form endure, while Wawrinka is eyeing an early tournament exit unless Marin Cilic can pull off a mighty upset against fifth seed Kei Nishikori during Friday’s evening session.

Murray has maintained a perfect record thus far at London’s O2 Arena, and he’ll now take on Milos Raonic in the semi-finals of the end-of-year competition after the Canadian finished second in the Ivan Lendl Group.

The tournament’s second seed, Novak Djokovic, will take on the runner-up in the John McEnroe Group, meanwhile, and Nishikori has the capacity to occupy that spot depending on how he fares against Cilic.
