Rudy Gobert, Jazz Agree on New Contract: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction

The Utah Jazz continued solidifying their young core Monday, reportedly signing center Rudy Gobert to a four-year $102 million dollar extension.
Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical first reported the deal, with Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune confirming the agreement.
Gobert, 24, is the sixth player drafted in 2013 to sign a long-term extension according to Marc Stein of ESPN. C.J. McCollum, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Dennis Schroder, Steven Adams and Victor Oladipo preceded him by signing near-max deals over the offseason. Players from that draft class have until Oct. 31 to sign extensions, or they will enter restricted free agency next summer.
Gobert averaged 9.1 points, 11.0 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game in 2015-16. In …
