Hawkbill set for Germany

Charlie Appleby feels the step up to 12 furlongs will suit Hawkbill as the Coral-Eclipse hero bids for a second Group One success of the season in the Pastorius Grosser Preis Von Bayern at Munich on Tuesday.
Although the Godolphin-owned colt has been beaten in both his subsequent races since his Sandown triumph, Appleby believes the son of Halling has a lot going for him as he tries to regain winning ways.
“I have been looking forward to getting Hawkbill out to a mile and a half,” Appleby told www.godolphin.com.
