God’s Own has emerged as a surprise contender for the Betfair Chase at Haydock next month.
Tom George’s three-times Grade One winner made a pleasing reappearance in the Old Roan at Aintree when a fast-finishing second to Third Intention.
While he has never run over three miles before under George’s guidance, he does have a win over two miles and five furlongs to his name over hurdles.
