Edwards grabs Wolves a point

Dave Edwards’ header grabbed a point for Championship strugglers Wolves, as they drew 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
Sam Gallagher put Blackburn ahead in the first-half as they looked to move out of the relegation spot with a win, but it wasn’t to be for Owen Coyle’s men as Wolves drew level through Edwards to share the spoils.
Both sides got off to a lively start in what was a high-paced game at a subdued Ewood Park, as the Blue and Whites fans protested against the club’s owners, who have amassed large debts since taking over in 2010.
Many of the home fans entered the stadium and took their seats on the 18th minute in an attempt to express their displeasure against Venky’s, run by the Rao family.
The hosts, who have kept just one clean sheet all season, looked to assert pressure early on and it took just 13 minutes to open the scoring through a sumptuous volley from Sam Gallagher, in what was the 21-year-old’s sixth goal of the season.
