Sunderland stuck on coast

Sunderland were stranded on the south coast on Wednesday night after their flight home from Southampton was cancelled due to thick fog.
David Moyes and his struggling players, who were knocked out of the EFL Cup after a 1-0 defeat at St Mary’s, were forced to about-turn at Southampton Airport and head to a hotel for the night.
The squad went through a recovery session at their hotel on Thursday morning and are now set to return to the North East later in the day.
