Puel praises ‘fantastic’ Boufal

Southampton boss Claude Puel hailed Sofiane Boufal after his brilliant goal knocked Sunderland out of the EFL Cup and set up a quarter-final with Arsenal.
The club’s record signing lit up an otherwise tame clash at St Mary’s with a superb, curling shot over Jordan Pickford in the 66th minute to earn a 1-0 victory for the home side on his debut.
