Hearts spurn chance to go second

Hearts wasted the opportunity to go second in the Scottish Premiership table after they lost 2-0 away to Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.
The Jambos could have climbed above Aberdeen with a point from their trip to Rugby Park but goals from Souleymane Coulibaly and Steven Smith secured the points for the hosts.
Coulibaly made his way past two Hearts defenders before drilling the ball into the far corner (22), with Tony Watt and Conor Sammon then seeing two goals disallowed.
But Smith’s effort stood after he lobbed goalkeeper Jack Hamilton from 20 yards out to secure the points for Killie, with their opponents dropping to fourth …
